Frequently Asked Questions

Choose the right course, understand the requirements, and know what to expect before you register.

Choosing a Course

Which course do I need?
  • Driver Improvement Clinic — 8 hours: for a DMV or court requirement, voluntary improvement, or a possible insurance benefit.
  • 3X Fail Driver’s Manual Course — 8 hours: for eligible students who have failed the DMV knowledge exam three times. A Driver Improvement Clinic does not meet this requirement.
  • RADEP — 12 hours or 4 hours: for a reckless/aggressive driving referral. Check your referral before choosing a package.
  • Virginia Online Driver Education — 30 hours: coursework for new drivers. This does not replace behind-the-wheel training or all other licensing requirements.

Compare tuition below, then use the registration links for your selected program. If you are unsure, ask us before paying.

What is the difference between the 12-hour and 4-hour RADEP options?

The 12-hour package includes an 8-hour Driver Improvement Clinic and the 4-hour RADEP course. The 4-hour option is for students who have already completed the required Driver Improvement component.

Confirm the required program, accepted format, prior-course documentation, and deadline with the court or referring agency before registering.

Can a student under 18 take the 3X Fail Driver’s Manual Course?

Eligibility depends on prior driver education. Students under 18 who finished classroom driver education before their third knowledge-test failure must provide that completion certificate to the school before enrolling. Other students under 18 may need the classroom driver education component instead.

Review the DMV’s three-exam-failure requirements with us before paying. Failing the road test requires a different type of training.

Are online courses accepted for my DMV or court requirement?

Acceptance depends on the specific program and your referral. Check the course’s approval and delivery format against your DMV notice or court order. For a court requirement, confirm that the court accepts the selected online course.

Completing a course does not guarantee ticket dismissal, a reduced fine, or a particular case outcome. See Virginia DMV’s clinic guidance.

How do I register?

For Driver Improvement, the 3X Fail Driver’s Manual Course, and RADEP, start at Abigail’s online learning portal and select the correct course.

For the 30-hour Driver Education program, use our National Driver Training registration link. The checkout and course access for that program are handled through the partner platform.

When can I start, and can I pause and return later?

Follow the access instructions provided after registration and payment. Online coursework is self-paced, but required instruction time, exams, and any course-access limits still apply.

Check the platform’s save-and-resume instructions before signing out. Contact us if your login has not arrived or you need to confirm access before enrolling.

What documents should I have ready?

For a Driver Improvement Clinic, have a government-issued photo ID and tell the school why you are attending. Have any DMV notice or court referral available so we can check the course and deadline.

Driver’s Manual and Driver Education students may need additional eligibility documents. Confirm the documents for your selected program before registering.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Review the terms for your selected course before paying. Contact us to confirm refund eligibility, cancellation terms, transfers, and any fees, especially if you have already received course access or started lessons.

If you registered through National Driver Training, also review the terms shown in that platform’s checkout.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Contact us about fleet training, corporate bookings, or groups of five or more students. Ask for a quote before registering; the group rate and available arrangements must be confirmed for your booking.

Completion & Certificates

How is my completion reported, and when do I receive my certificate?

Driver Improvement Clinic: the clinic must report completion electronically to DMV within 24 hours. Keep your completion certificate and follow any separate court-submission instructions.

Driver’s Manual Course: provide your completion certificate to DMV before retesting. For Driver Education and RADEP, follow the issuing provider’s certificate and submission instructions.

Contact us to confirm certificate delivery and timing for your course, particularly if you have a deadline. DMV reporting guidance · Driver’s Manual completion guidance

How long do I have to finish, and what happens if I fail a test?

Your court or DMV deadline and your course-access period are separate. Check both before enrolling, and leave time for any exam, retake, certificate delivery, and submission.

Ask us to confirm the final-exam format, passing requirements, retake limits, waiting periods, and any fees for your selected course. The rules can differ by program.

Will I receive safe driving points?

Eligibility depends on your age, attendance reason, and driving record. Court-directed students need court documentation authorizing points. Insurance-discount attendance does not earn safe driving points.

Tell us your attendance reason before starting. Review DMV’s point eligibility rules for your situation.

Will completing a course reduce my insurance premium?

A discount is not automatic. Ask your insurer whether you qualify, which course it accepts, and what proof it needs before enrolling. Court-directed attendance and point-related eligibility have separate rules.

See Virginia DMV’s insurance guidance.

Support & Location

What should I do if I cannot log in or a lesson will not load?

Use a reliable internet connection and check the course platform’s supported browsers and devices. Confirm whether your phone, tablet, or computer meets the requirements before registering.

If you need help, call or email us with the course name, the device you are using, and the error message. For National Driver Training access, use the support instructions in your registration confirmation as well.

Are courses and support available in Spanish?
